Jumping

This popular equestrian discipline is recognised internationally and is one that can be exciting and rewarding for all age groups and riding levels. Horse and rider will compete over a predetermined course of jumps, aiming to complete the course without faults against the clock.

All Equidays classes run under ESNZ rules and riders, horses and ponies must have current registration for the duration of the Equidays.

Wade Equine Couches Grand Prix 
Friday: Showjumping Spectacular Nightshow

The finally of Friday’s entertainment Nightshow, see’s riders battle it out in the Wade Equine Coaches Grand Prix, showcasing the thrilling sport of showjumping heightened with the lights and crowds of our world class indoor arena.

The Showjumping Spectacular is a separately ticketed event and for the first time includes the CryNZ Jump for Cancer speed class with money paid for the riders going straight to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Derby  
Saturday & Sunday: Waipa Home of Champions Course

A derby is a showjumping course with a crosscountry twist! A derby course is slightly longer and includes natural obstacles such as banks and open water as well as regular showjumps over varying terrain.

Equidays Horse Derby – set at 1.15m the Horse Derby gives riders the opportunity to jump on this unique cours
Honda Pony Derby – open for elite junior jumpers and eventers aged 16years and under
