Vaughn Jefferis

Vaughn Jefferis has been involved in the equestrian business for over 25 years and during this time has achieved top international titles in both eventing and show jumping. He is recognized as one of the four all time legendary 3 Day Event riders of his time (other members include Mark Todd, Blyth Tait and Andrew Nicholson). The team were unbeatable back to back, World and Olympic Champions for 8 years – a feat never before accomplished, and not done since. Some of Vaughn’s other achievements include the following;

• 3 Day Eventing World Champion in Holland 1994 having received individual gold
• Olympic Bronze Medal winner at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics
• Team Gold at the World Championships, Rome 1998
• Coached the New Zealand National Young Rider squads in 3 Day Eventing
• Coached the New Zealand National Elite Squad in 3 Day Eventing
• 5 x Winner of the Horse of the Year Show Hunter Title 
• Used to walk through and commentate (live to 200,000 spectators) the show jumping portion of a 3 Day Event in the stadium for the Rolex Kentucky 3 Day Event, America’s largest and most prestigious 3 Day event.
